Travel aboard the Tilt Train to Maryborough and transfer to Hervey Bay by RailBus connection. Overnight at Ramada Resort by Wyndham Hervey Bay.
You will be collected from your accommodation and transferred to River Heads for the ferry crossing to Kingfisher Bay landing on K’gari. Head inland by 4WD coach and visit Central Station and Pile Valley before cooling off in the crystal-clear water of Lake McKenzie.
Stay tonight at K’gari Beach Resort.
Enjoy a buffet breakfast before setting off to explore iconic Eli Creek where you can float along the shallow stream. Head to The Pinnacles Coloured Sands and learn about the Indigenous Dreamtime stories that surround them. Travel past Indian Head, the most easterly point of the island, to the Champagne Pools.
Return along 75 Mile Beach and stop at the Maheno Shipwreck before boarding the ferry for the return trip to River Heads and your overnight accommodation at Ramada Resort by Wyndham Hervey Bay.
After breakfast, transfer by RailBus connection to Maryborough West railway station for the journey to Brisbane on the Tilt Train. Relax in your reclinable seat and take in the passing scenery before arriving in Brisbane in the afternoon.
